Steve Harpster, comic book author and children's educational presenter, will guide children in grades K-8 in the development of their own published book.

Each child will receive THREE professionally bound copies of their book with a duplicate copy added to the Delaware County District Library collection! 

Two sessions will take place: 

  • K-8: 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • K-8: 1:30 - 4:00 p.m.

Pre-registration is required, and the $35 ticket may be purchased on Eventbrite. Registration is open.

***JUST ANNOUNCED*** For this Young Writers Workshop, participants will also receive a free one-year subscription to Harptooniacs, Steve Harpster's online drawing lessons! This $90 value is a gift from Steve Harpster for participants at THIS workshop on November 2! This is definitely an event you won't want to miss, and it is a great gift for a creative young person in your life. Slots will fill quickly.****

Friends of the Library members receive a $5 discount. (Check your email for the promo code.) Additional copies of your child's book may be ordered on the day of the event for $10 each.

About the branch

The newest branch in the Delaware County District Library system, the Liberty Branch Library opened Monday, March 27, 2023 to serve the greater Powell and Liberty Township community. Located just west of Liberty High School in the Olentangy School District, the branch boasts 42,000 square feet on three levels to meet the needs of all residents.
