Grab your favorite book and join us on the second Saturday of the month for a unique experience designed for readers of all ages and stages. Read with the Horses is an opportunity for readers of all abilities to relax and enjoy reading without the fear of judgment or pressure to be perfect. Our equine partners are an eager audience and love listening as readers share new stories.
Registration is handled by Stockhands Horses for Healing here. Readers will register for a one-hour block within the three-hour window.

FAQs
What should I wear?
Dress for the weather. The outside weather is how it will feel in the barn with the horses. Wear closed-toed shoes.
If I'm accompanying my child, do I have to register?
No. Only the reader needs to register.
What should I bring?
Your favorite book, magazine, newspaper, graphic novel -- anything! There are some books on property.
When can I register for the next Read with the Horses event?
Registration for each month opens just after the previous month's event is over. There is no option to register ahead for multiple events.
Stockhands Horses for Healing is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization that provides equine-assisted therapeutic services to children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities, as well as Veterans, First Responders, and those struggling with mental health and recovery.
