At Preschool Storytime, we use interactive songs, finger plays, flannel stories, books and crafts to learn and have fun!
Preschool storytime is different from toddler time because at this age children’s attention spans are getting longer so we incorporate material that is appropriate for their interested mind!
Engaging children in simple but powerful activities every day help them develop early literacy skills that help them get ready to read. These activities or practices are talking, singing, reading, writing and playing. All of our storytimes are planned using these skills that educate your children in fun, interactive and effective ways!

The 35,000 square foot Delaware Main Library is the oldest branch of our library system, which serves the public as well as houses a majority of our administrative offices. Located around the corner from downtown Delaware, it serves as our central branch for those on foot as well as those in a rush.
The Main Library also hosts the Delaware County Genealogical Society. Genealogical Society volunteers are in the Library to assist researchers on limited dates and by appointment.
DCDL welcomes all people to our programs and events. If you require ASL interpretation or other reasonable accommodations, please contact us at pr@delawarelibrary.org.
