You've been cleaning and are ready to donate your books and we're ready to accept them! Join us for Book Days - a drive-up drop-off event where the Friends of the Library will accept donations.

The Friends of DCDL are having their first ever Book Donation Drive-By Events!

Between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., the public is invited to drive up to the designated covered areas where Friends of the Delaware County District Library volunteers will be on hand to accept book donations.

Bring your bags or boxes of book, DVD, and audiobook donations. Clean, gently used condition, please! We will unload them from your cars.

We can no longer accept: periodicals, magazines, newspapers, journals, activity books, Readers Digest Condensed books, VHS, LP albums, audio cassettes, travel or computer books over 3 years old, outdated law or medical text, Playaway audio books, galley proofs or advanced reader copies.

After the Drive-by days, DCDL locations will again accept your book donations beginning July 25.

About the branch

The 35,000 square foot Delaware Main Library is the oldest branch of our library system, which serves the public as well as houses a majority of our administrative offices. Located around the corner from downtown Delaware, it serves as our central branch for those on foot as well as those in a rush.

The Main Library also hosts the Delaware County Genealogical Society. Genealogical Society volunteers are in the Library to assist researchers on limited dates and by appointment.

DCDL welcomes all people to our programs and events. If you require ASL interpretation or other reasonable accommodations, please contact us at pr@delawarelibrary.org.
