Join acclaimed children's book illustrator R. Gregory Christie for a guided tour of the Telling a People's Story exhibit! Drop-in to the Orange Branch Library anytime between 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
R. Gregory Christie is an award-winning children's book illustrator and lecturer with a long track record of creating inspiring art. He is an NAACP Image Award winner and was the artist for the United Postal Services's "Kwanzaa Stamp" in 2013. The Telling a People's Story exhibition is devoted to the art within African-American children’s picture books. The selection of approximately 130 works features more than 30 artists, spanning nearly 50 years of creativity. It was organized by the Miami University Art Museum through a grant from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, for the first time, African-American children’s illustrated literature is the focus of a museum exhibition featuring art produced for book illustrations.
Masks will be required for all patrons who participate in an indoor library program.

The Orange Branch Library is located in Orange Township just north of the township's fire station, park and pool. At 33,000 square feet, this branch has a drive-up book drop and drive through pick-up window, along with many other special sustainable building features. The building also houses our Outreach Services Department and the Imagination Garden.
