Meet abolitionists like Frederick Douglass, William Lloyd Garrison, Sojourner Truth, and Civil Rights leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and, of course, Rosa Parks!
An important story for any audience, this show gives a remarkable view of the challenges met by these amazing Black Americans. This historical journey will delight and inspire audiences with the triumphant power of the human spirit shown by these true heroes of history.
This performance by Bright Star Touring Theatre is best for Grades Kindergarten and higher. Teachers may access the performance Study Guide and Curriculum Standards to incorporate the performance into classroom lessons.

The 35,000 square foot Delaware Main Library is the oldest branch of our library system, which serves the public as well as houses a majority of our administrative offices. Located around the corner from downtown Delaware, it serves as our central branch for those on foot as well as those in a rush.
The Main Library also hosts the Delaware County Genealogical Society. Genealogical Society volunteers are in the Library to assist researchers on limited dates and by appointment.
