This is Part 1 of a 2-part lesson on creating custom wooden jigsaw puzzles. In this class, we'll use sublimation to press an image onto a prepared piece of wood at the Liberty Library Maker Studio.
This is a two-part class.
Please make sure you are able to attend Part 2 the following Wednesday (November 15) at 3:30.
In part 1 of this class, we'll use the sublimation setup at the Liberty Maker Studio to press an image onto a prepared piece of wood. Learners are encouraged to find or bring an image with them to use for their puzzle. A generic photo will also be provided if no other image is prepared.
In part 2, we'll meet at the Delaware Maker Studio to use the laser cutter to cut the design into pieces. We'll use Illustrator to create cut lines and then cut them out on the laser cutter.
Part 2 will take place at the Delaware Maker Studio the following Wednesday at the same time of day. Patrons who register for this session should be available to register for the second session. Registration for the second session will be handled by library staff at the end of the first session.
