Please join us outside the main entrance of the Liberty Branch Library for a short flag-raising ceremony to commemorate the new flagpole at the branch.

Special thanks to the City of Powell for funding the project and the Friends of the Delaware County District Library for their support in securing financial support for the flagpole. 

Special thanks to the joint Ohio Statehouse representation of Representative Brian Lorenz (District 60), Representative Beth Lear (District 61), and Senator Andrew Brenner (District 19) for their donation of an American flag, which was flown at the Ohio Statehouse in honor of the Delaware County District Library. 

Boy Scout Troop 428, located in Powell, will lead the flag ceremony.

This ceremony will lead into the DCDL Board of Trustees regular meeting in the Lower Level Community Room A.

About the branch

The newest branch in the Delaware County District Library system, the Liberty Branch Library opened Monday, March 27, 2023 to serve the greater Powell and Liberty Township community. Located just west of Liberty High School in the Olentangy School District, the branch boasts 42,000 square feet on three levels to meet the needs of all residents.
