At this school-age program, you will learn about why a solar eclipse occurs and make your own pinhole eclipse viewer. Don’t miss out – the next total solar eclipse in Ohio won’t be until 2099!
Only 21 total solar eclipses have crossed the continental US during its entire existence as a country and in 2024 Delaware County will get to experience this rare occurrence in our backyard!
This program will also be offered at Liberty Library on March 28.
Look to the sky with your safety glasses on Monday, April 8.

The 35,000 square foot Delaware Main Library is the oldest branch of our library system, which serves the public as well as houses a majority of our administrative offices. Located around the corner from downtown Delaware, it serves as our central branch for those on foot as well as those in a rush.
The Main Library also hosts the Delaware County Genealogical Society. Genealogical Society volunteers are in the Library to assist researchers on limited dates and by appointment.
DCDL welcomes all people to our programs and events. If you require ASL interpretation or other reasonable accommodations, please contact us at pr@delawarelibrary.org.
